Beware Green Flag. They leave old ladies in the street.

I've not had a car for a few years, but being up to date with requirements of the MOT insurance etc. is important, and was (when I had a car) important.
It's a calendar appointment...
Switch it round, if you were in a collision with someone who had no MOT, invalidating their insurance and there was a difficulty with claiming for injuries/damage then you'd be on here about that. If someone wants to drive a car, then they need to be on top of the requirements to do so.
How long would it take to realise the gap? I'm sorry but I don't believe in "grace periods" for this kind of thing.
*I've never had a parking ticket or speeding fine. I always pay for rail/bus travel. I'm a bit of a goody two shoes in this respect… I just see being on top of this stuff as part of being an adult.

Unfortunately the Green Flag policy is quite specific about the vehicle condition.
it meets any legal requirements and
driving laws that apply, at the time of
breakdown, including having valid tax,
insurance and a MOT. We can check
these details when you take out the
policy, at renewal and it will be checked
at the time of any breakdown when you
ask us for help0 -
No MOT doesn't invalidate the 3rd party part of car insurance
