Morning again, it seems to be fine.
I haven't posted for a couple of days, there was nothing happening to talk about!
Today we are going up to Alnwick for a few days. We can get the bus from Newcastle, it takes an hour and a half, but we've got plenty of time. We booked a little apartment in the centre, we're looking forward to it. We'll return on Friday.
Glad you've enjoyed your much needed holiday Dp1, but sorry to read about your migraine.Hope you are feeling better today.
Have a good time in the caravan TA, a change of scene does you good I think.
So you finally got paid Ruby! Glad to hear it.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, you were up early!
Loads of washing dried outside yesterday, I was thinking of getting it in when there was an almighty shower so had to wait for it to dry again!
Went shopping, had an hours digging at the allotment, planted some seeds and had a general tidy up at the front of the house. When the new boiler was put in I had to take out a cupboard base above that didn't fit back in around the new vent pipe, tried to cut it but had to ask Mr friend over the road to help. It's back in now and the contents of the cupboard moved back in.
Back to work for me today, could do with another week off to enjoy some dry weather and get on with things but needs must!
Pleased to hear you've got most of your money Ruby.
Welcome back dp1, glad you had a good time and you are feeling better today.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX

Good morning, and thanks for the early start @ScarletRibbons, have a wonderful time in Alnwick, it's a lovely town.
You were busy @camelot1001 though it's always the way with work and the weather. Welcome back @dp1, I hope that you are better today.
My Sunday was good too. I went to the next village down to buy a freshly baked buttery, there was also fresh out of the oven bread so I indulged in a loaf too. The weather was mostly sunny though cold. In the late afternoon I decided to to burn some papers in the garden so sat there for a wee while. The sun was moving over the roof of the house whilst the wind had died down enough for me to enjoy my first sit out in the garden for more than six months. It was so good!
Earlier on I was browsing the internet looking for things to do and places to go when I'm in Toronto - no ice hockey in June. I had already booked a day trip to the Niagara Falls with a pick up / drop off at my hotel. Now I saw that Penn & Teller were doing a week at the Meridian Hall which is within my walking distance so I've booked a ticket for my final night. I'm so excited as I had to pull out of a planned visit to see them at the London Palladium last year.
This morning is beautiful, bright sunshine and clear skies, still a bit chilly. Later I'm off down to Glasgow on the bus (coach) to see David Olusoga doing his 'Gun through time' show, should be very interesting.Big hugs to all and big 🙋♀️🙋♀️to our missing.

Morning all
Bright and sunny day here but it’s still chilly, I had a memory come up on my FB and this time last year we were in full BBQ mode, it’s still just a bit cold to sit out for long atm.
I’m off to mums today and I have to take her to a hospital appointment for a drain on her tummy, they tried to do it last week but couldn’t get any fluid out so will try again today, I shall drop her off and then go back to hers and do some work, I will change her bed etc so it’s comfortable for when she gets in.
Dinner tonight will be meatballs in a tomato sauce with pasta. Dd has the day off so she will probably cook.
Tomorrow I have a hospital appointment at the breast clinic, this is the appointment that they cancelled last time so hopefully it won’t be cancelled again.
Welcome back DP1 xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Just popping in to say hi - I don’t have much to as either hence my absence but always enjoy reading about everyone’s days.
The weekend was fine and sunny - loads of gardening and other stuff done though you can’t really tell as there is so much more to do. Feeling very overwhelmed with everything at the moment and my head is overthinking everything (nothing new!) so I’ll carry on reading along and pop in now and again.
Take care all

Morning all.
Just back from a few days in Edinburgh; our train went through Alnwick and Berwick. Such a lovely area but a very cold, biting wind. We went on the Falkirk Wheel, which was one of the reasons for going, plus out to see The Kelpies.
Now I need to go to the sm to get fresh food and get on with things as we have a busy week ahead. DH is about to replace a strip light in the garage and then has a dental appointment - life goes on!
Look after yourselves all.

Good morning
Another bright and sunny start, although a little chilly still.
Today I'm going with DH to Lids in the next town. He wants to get a tool accessory thingy (technical term). He knows how to show a girl a good time. Still while there I can pick up a couple of bits. Not much needed, just bread and fruit.
Mr & Mrs ND are due back from their break today, I hope they've enjoyed it. Will find out later.
If I can get some parsley sauce while shopping then tonight will be salmon, new potatoes and asparagus. I do like parsley sauce with fish. If not then it will be freezer surprise
Dp1, glad you enjoyed your break, hope you feel better today.
Ruby, pleased you have some of the money owed, hope you get the rest soon. I wonder how many other carers she has done that to.
AA, look after yourself, pop back in when you're ready, hugs x
Have a good day all, take care.

I haven't read back on yesterday yet but pleased you enjoyed your hol Dp1
Allie, we keep on going don't we. Hope your mind settles soon.
DGS is back at school today so we're back to mid afternoon pickups. He thought today was a training day so was disappointed yesterday, his DStepdad teaches so perhaps he's off instead :)
I've got some pre frozen beef stew out for later. Freezer stock seems to be going down rapidly.
Hope you all have a good day.
