Problem Printing From Downloads
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Book 5 laptop. I have a problem printing from downloads, which has never been a problem on previous laptops.
The problem is printing ferry tickets, which are sent as an email attachment. I can view the attachment without downloading the ticket but because there is no preview when I press ''Print'', this function can't be carried out. I can either click onto the ''Download'' symbol or use ''Save As''.
The ticket is now stored under ''Downloads'' but when I click onto ''Ferry Tickets'' and bring up the page, it's blank. Sometimes I get a choice of Adobe Reader, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge etc but none of them work.
Please can someone explain in simple language, why I can't print from downloads and how to solve the problem?

save to desktop then print.

Then try the 'save as' option and see what format is being used, there may be an option through a dropdown to save in a different format. Or can you not just use a mobile to use the tickets as that is the intended purpose rather than printing them out?

Got a smartphone? Does the ferry company have an app? Get the tickets displaying on the app.
Travelling with someone else? Get the tickets displaying on their smartphone too.
Can you print from your phone, try it that way?
Can understand you might want the tickets on paper too. What format are the tickets saved as in Downloads (what's the 3 char suffix at the end of the filename, or right-click on the file and take Properties)?

Saving to laptop and then printing from the download, is the problem.

The 'Save As' option appears to use Google Chrome. The only options are when attempting to display the download. A dropdown menu appears with Google Chrome, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Edge etc but none of them work. I am going to try the mobile phone route, for storing the tickets.

I will try to get the tickets on my phone and I will look for the ferry company app. I don't know if printing from my phone is an option. Paper tickets are normally the easist option, because I just hand over my passport and ticket at the check-in kiosk.

Thanks to you all, for your help. I have now got the ferry company app on my phone. I can now display the tickets and other info.

Is this a general laptop problem? Have you been able to print anything from the new laptop?

They only had the option to download in web format (WebP?) which was the problem.

Stupid ferry company, probably a rather clumsy attempt to force you to use their app (which actually worked!).
PrtSc button on the laptop? Or I've got a Chrome extension called Awesome that will let you shoot, edit then copy to clipboard/download as jpeg or pdf (or print).
