if you haven’t got receipts, use your best estimates. Hmrc can query it if they don’t think it’s reasonable.

Thanks, I'll try that. Nothing to lose by trying it I suppose. I will put down the amounts that I know that I spent and hope they accept them without query. I guess we'll see. I have some vague details from Bank Statements, but it's not really definitive.
Am I right in thinking that, as I have lost, rather than gained, I don't need to report anything within the 60 days after the sale? I'm not sure whether I even need to declare it on the end of year Tax Return for the same reason?
