Farther passed away august 2004, so I presume a month or 2 after that? Exact date of transfer i dont know, will my fund manager have this info? But they have changed hands/fund manager a few times.

No, the relevant value is the one on the date your father died.

Does EQ Share view offer this fund?
In-specie would i still be liable for CGT if funds transferred to new fund manager then sold?

Transferring in specie makes no difference to CGT liability, so the sale value would still be measured against the original acquisition cost - if transferring somehow reset values for CGT purposes then that would be a massive loophole that would largely defeat the point of having CGT!

Scottish Widows Share Dealing offer it. They charge £5 per deal (ie buy/sell) and nothing to hold.
I have no idea how you would do a transfer though. If the units were held on another platform that would be easy but are they? It doesn't sound like it. If they are certificated that might be easy too - I believe you can send the certificate with a transfer form to SWSD (not sure if there is a charge for this) But certificates usually apply to shares - do unit trusts have them? Not sure.

I've not seen any certificates in 22 years for this fund, so I'd have to say no?.
They are held with Columba Threadneedle (fund manager) who ever they are? But they have no online portal.
May give them another call tomorrow, now that I have educated myself a tad, see what info they have.

It is worth checking what info you have from Columba Threadneedle, because they do have an online portal for buying and selling OEICs, and they may have already suggested you register with them:
myColumbiaThreadneedle | Columbia Threadneedle Investments
"If you already have investments with us, you can link them to your myColumbiaThreadneedle account. To do this, please contact our client service team on 0800 953 0134* (Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm)"

Yes I did ask them, and they said they dont have a online portal, as I am with a different part of the Business, which does not have an online portal? which I found very strange. I signed up online, got to the stage I had to ring them for a code to register my funds, Only to be told the above.? Stumped I have ended up on here trying to learn the ins n outs of this fund and how it all works.

You cant transfer funds from outside an ISA into an ISA. You would need to sell and rebuy.

I know but that isn't what the OP asked. As long as the receiving broker/platform offers the same fund, GIA to GIA is fine.
"Also if I can't move this fund into a isa s&s wrapper with out selling them 1st, Am I able to move to a different fund manager or trading platform like Trading 212 without selling 1st non isa?"
