Perhaps I've not made myself clear.

The product warranty (25 years) is still active.

The installation warranty expired last year.

When I'm talking about a s75 claim I'm not talking about the original purchase in 2015, I'm talking about whether IKea might have been in more recent breach of contract via either warranty.

If the warranties are legally binding on IKea and the OP raised a valid complaint under either warranty 3 years ago, and if Ikea were in breach of their obligations under either warranty at that time, then Ikea would have been in breach of that warranty 3 years ago - not at the time of the original purchase. At that point - 3 years ago - the finance provider would be jointly and severally liable with ikea for Ikea's breach of warranty

I think it's been discussed here before that in the case of warranties and guarantees any breach is not at the time the warranty or guarantee was given, but at the time it wasn't complied with

I'm not saying I'm certain that that is the law. I'm suggesting to the OP that that might be a route worth exploring

Just because the company you worked for gave training to its complaints department employees regarding mental health issues doesn't mean Ikea will necessarily have done the same.

Despite saying 10 year warranty on installation and 25 on products, I would bet there's something in the small print which means its not as comprehensive as you would have hoped for. 25 years for a kitchen is a very long time. There must be a reason why Ikea are not co-operating in this matter

I seem to remember that warranties/guarantees often had clauses like "This warranty/guarantee is not binding on the company" "The decision of the company is final in all claims". So I don't know if a legal challenge could actually be made. In the circumstances, I would be quite happy to be proved wrong

A quick look at Ikea Kitchen warranty, is not as clear as it seems, given OP has not stated what was actually used. This is as shown now, which may/will be different to 2015
