Stick or Twist?
Hi,
I cannot figure out whether the time is right to move to a fixed price gas deal from the collective Nov '26 deal I am currently on to protect against the upcoming energy price rise next year, or whether I should wait until closer to the end of this deal in December and then look at the best fixed price deal?
I would welcome opinions from the group.

Winter is generally a more expensive time for energy and the price cap so if you can exit for free and setup a fix it may save you some money in the long run but it's all a bit unknown right now.

This is the dilemma, I know if I fix right now I am going to be paying more per Kw, but using far less through the summer and then potentially save once the price cap rises in July and through the winter months when my consumption increases again.
Has anyone else on the BG Collective Nov '26 deal shifted to a fixed rate deal on here?

is there anyone on the BG collective NOV’26 tariff and if so, are you sticking with it or thinking of exiting for a fixed deal?

Sticking with it for the time being. Still got a few months on a very good rate.

As nobody knows what the price of a fix is for next week, let alone in November, it really depends if you want to pay more for the next five months to secure a new fix, or if you are happy to wait and see.
