Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope your weather isn't too rough, it's pretty bad here! Look forward to hearing that the family made it safely home.
I had a lovely day with the little one yesterday, I'm going to pick her up again this morning and she will stay here tonight. She has a fairy door in the bedroom where little gifts are left, she really believes the fairies bring her things for when she comes here, so lovely that she is so invested in it and doesn't have any idea it's me! Anyway, there are tickets there today for the circus this afternoon which should be fun.
I had an hours digging at allotment 2 late afternoon, felt really good being out in the fresh air although my back was complaining a bit by the time I had finished, hoping to do some more very soon and get it ready for growing again.
Glad your appointment went well SSue.
Congrats to your DD Ruby, she's done so well. How was your visit to the IOW?
Sounds like you had a 'smashing' time with the bathroom Coxy.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers Hope the family made it back safely x
Have a muzzy headache this morning. Maybe down to eyestrain as I was knitting last night. DH stayed in our old town with friends so once he’s home we will continue with our demolition work! He has also invited SIL and her 2 little boys round - not sure how that’s going to work but heyho.
Have a great time at the circus @camelot1001 - very cute about the fairy door! X
Hope you feel better soon @IzzyBee I’ve never been called up for JS - hope it’s not too awful for you x
I can’t continue with a book unless it grabs me @ScarletRibbons so don’t blame you for ditching it! X
How was your day with Matt @RedRuby1231 - hope you had fun. Congratulations to your DD that’s wonderful news x
Slow down @YorksLass you’re putting me to shame with all your jobs! X
Shout out to our missing - @nannywindow @-taff and hope @mehefin is just busy with his horses and new friend xx
Have a good day all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I hope the family are back safely after their jaunt. Not a bad start here after o/n rain but I expect it will be back at some point through the day.
A good day out was had yesterday and no leftover lunch brought home this time! Ham, egg, chips etc much enjoyed with our plates left almost clean. Not much other spending done and I used a gift card from my birthday on a pair of white jeans (we surely must get the weather to wear them soon!) and 2 pairs of earrings. The rain held off until we got back into town and then the heaven's opened. So a bit of a soggy dash on the last lap.
Grounded today and jobs await as usual. I would much prefer to be out wining and dining! I'll kick off doing the kitchen and bathroom then see what energy, if any, I have left. A freezer sort out is much needed too, the phantom messer upper has been at it again. I'll christen my dinner whilst out there.
Have a good day folks if you can. Good news that the hospital appointments went well. It's so lovely hearing about the little ones. I miss those days. Take care all, be safe x

Morning again, yes the weather here is foul @camelot1001, seems that it's to improve on Saturday for a few days. Love the fairy door! Enjoy the circus. x
The family made it safely home yesterday, thank for asking, the journey home took almost 39 hours though, luckily, they all were moved to empty rows each on the final flight so were able to stretch out to sleep. No doubt they are all still sound.
I had a quick'ish trip up to the big town, returned the order and whizzed round Marks. Came home to a freshly cleaned place. Always a joy. I had liver, onions and fried potatoes for lunch, my mouth is already watering at the thought of having it again today.
Take care all, hugs all round. x

Morning all
It’s been raining overnight and more due later it’s also still chilly.
Yesterday went really well, Matt was pleased to see us both (especially his mum) and we had a lovely day, we went for a walk and he had an ice cream, then we fed the ducks and went to buy a couple of things he needed and then had fish and chips and he had a hot chocolate, he was shattered by the time we left and I’m sure went home to process the day. It was so lovely to see him again and I am so glad he seemed settled.
There was a garbled / ranting message on my court claim last night from O’s mum, I am pretty sure she was either drunk or high or both, the message made no sense at all, then within 15 minutes another message admitting she owes me the money 😃 she is denying any wrongdoing or shouting / swearing 🙄 I will think of a response today and write back accepting the offer of payment but also maintaining my account of events and that this is supported by evidence from another carer. But at least I know there is light at the end of the tunnel, I’m still not convinced that she will actually send the money but at least it’s a start.
I am off to my sisters this morning to do some work and then this afternoon I will go to mums and sort out her fridge, she went into hospital yesterday for a drain on her tummy, this is a regular thing, but they couldn’t get any fluid out and they said that mum appeared unwell so they kept her in for the night and will try again today, my sister and I have a feeling she will be in for a few days so I need to check her fridge, she has not been cooking for herself so a lot of food is being wasted and thrown out, we tried a meal delivery service but mum cancelled it as she can cook better herself but then she doesn’t cook and just eats rubbish, she is self neglecting so my sister and I need to come up with a plan going forward.
Dinner tonight will be salmon and something, I will figure it out later, dd is off today so she may well cook.
Camelot enjoy the circus xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Good morning
Bright and sunny here, looks breezy out though. Yesterday's promised thunderstorms didn't arrive, thank goodness, only heavy rain.
I'm at a bit of a loose end here as Mr & Mrs ND have gone on a few days holiday, the first since her illness last year. Poor thing was exhausted just packing, so I hope they're enjoying themselves and she's getting some rest.
Usual chores to do, not much happening here. Garlic and herb coated chicken tonight, with the obligatory chips for DH, and a jacket for me, with coleslaw and garlic bread if required, smelly night here. Last night was a beef stew and dumplings, it was just the weather for it.
@IzzyBee I've never been called for jury service, hope I'm not speaking too soon, DH did it about 30 years ago.
@RedRuby1231 hope your mum is OK, and you get paid soon.
Have a good day all, take care.

Lovely to read about @RedRuby1231 meeting with Matt and mum though the news about your mum is not so good. Fingers crossed that you get your money.
Meant to add earlier that I was called up for JS once when I was with mum, I phoned up to explain the situation and was excused, not heard since and now am too old!
Garlic chicken sounds so tasty @remmie. So does your ham, egg and chips @TravellingAbuela, it's been years since I had that in a seaside cafe when I lived in Newcastle.
Enjoy your demolition work @Coxy11. Hope that the extra sleep did you well @IzzyBee.
I've decided to return to old fashioned written diary / calendar as I keep on putting in stuff wrong on my phone. Just this week I've rearranged the same appointment twice and I thought that my telephone appointment with the urologist was Tuesday but it's today. You'd think I'd got used to it by now. So, I've ordered one, bit of a retrograde move. 🤣

Coffee break while living room is drying from being mopped then kitchen to mop and will go up on my exercise bike with my kindle while it dries. I'm so organised I amaze myself sometimes!! 😉
@IzzyBee hope jury service goes OK for you. DH has done it but I never have. After working in a prison for 25 years I'd love to see the other side of the coin!
Nothing else planned but must get some chicken out of the freezer for curry tonight.
Have a good day all x

Morning all from Mehefinland
It's been a hectic week or so and I haven't posted as much as I should.
Last weekend was 2 rehearsals and the concert which was exhausting, then straight back into it on Monday for the next lot. Stanford's Songs of the Fleet which is a new one on me.
Last night a young lady managed to go into the side of my car and make a huge dent in both door panels. Nobody hurt and she admi8tted it was her fault _ I had a witness in the car so there is no doubt anyway. She wants to pay rather than go through insurance ( suspect she is a relatively new driver) so off to try and get an estimate on the costs today and go from there.
The Spitfire on it's 90year tour landed here last night - loads of spotters hanging about. It is an iconic aircraft of course.
Nags ok, just enjoying the grass lol
Lady friend ok too😊 Thanks for asking @Coxy11
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin
