LPL Conveyancers Due to exchange but file 'to be signed off'
Im on tenterhook today, my exchange is imminent but my FTB in the chain have their file 'with the compliance team for final sign off' god knows how long that takes? Anyone got any clue? AI seems to think 7-10 working days which will be the end of me if it is! Everything is ready, funds received etc. Just no idea how long a file sits with the compliance team?
Anyone had previous dealings and could advise?

Whose compliance team? Not sure what you're asking AI!

The conveyancers compliance team at LPL. Im asking AI because I have no idea - how long is a piece of string - a compliance teams takes to sign off the file. Was hoping to exchange today but I dont know how long this final part takes

Assuming everything is in order with the paperwork then final sign off should be relatively quick.

if they are doing it now that's fine - our buyers solicitors didn't do it until completion day (or didn't do it then either) the "compliance sign off" was done within 24 hours though and they completed the next day
(having said that they would have been in deep do do if they had taken 7-10 days)

Im hoping they can be quick about it, I just know what my work is like for getting things peer reviewed. You think you're at the final stage but no chance! If I have to wait 7 days I think I will expire through stress! Im hoping today or at the latest tomorrow for exchange. Then i'll be able to sleep properly again!

It depends on the current workload and efficiency of whoever is signing it off. It could be already signed off. It might never be signed off if there's something wrong with it. You'll just need to wait.

Length of piece of string question. Who knows.
