Argos delivery charge for out of stock item

Arghh ... I placed an order online with Argos for some sports equipment. I received an email back saying the item was out of stock and to try again in a few days. On closer inspection of the email, it said a £4.95 delivery charge has been charged to my credit card.

I decided to Argos the benefit of the doubt as no ordering system would be stupid enough to charge you delivery for an order which had been cancelled because it was out of stock. Well today, I checked my bank account and they have indeed debited my card. I'm sure I'll have no problem getting a refund (either from Argos of from my bank) but it just amazes me (as a software developer) how poorly designed some systems are. If the same idiots who designed their ordering system designed their security, I'm pretty sure I'll only collect at store in future ...

Rant over.
