Best Bank Account for Business in 2026

Hi there,

I have been using Revolut Business for our limited company, when trying to open with Barclays they just delayed the process and we needed the account, at the moment I have a appointment with Metro bank, but was wondering if you could suggest other banks ideal for business. Financing is not easy with Revolut in terms of proving documents.

Thank you for your opinion.

Best regards,

It depends on what you need from a business account. Do you need a chequebook? Do you need to deposit lots of cash?

We used Starling for our business and they were brilliant. Great app. Free banking.

I am guessing cash is not a big part of your business as you are currently using Revolut? However what specific features do Revolut offer that are important for you and your business? Their webpage suggest they have multiple currencies and the ability to send money worldwide. Is that important for your business?

I know somebody who tried the Lloyds business account but dropped them because Lloyds did not send notifications when money came into or went out of the account. Unlike the Lloyds personal account.

I use Barclays for day to day but put most of the excess money in a Virgin Business Savings account which gives 3.45% interest. It's easy access and no fees.

    Any reason you picked those?

Natwest is pretty good on business side, as is their Mettle sub brand but thats for smaller businesses due to lower transfer limits but may suit you?
