Newbie - DCB Legal (Letter of Claim)

Hi All, I'm trying my best to avoid posting but struggling to know what to do next… any help would be much appreciated.

I have received a letter today (14th April) from DCB Legal dated 7th April, it is a letter of claim.

I have been ignoring letters from a previous bailiff company but now it has changed to DCB, regarding a parking fine from September 2023. I paid for parking on two occasions (using cash) first time all good but time ran out so we extended our stay and got a new ticket. I have proof of the first ticket (always take pictures of the ticket on my phone) but on the second occasion it was my partner who extended the stay and didnt take a picture and we threw the ticket away.

How do I prove that we actually paid the second ticket, surely it should be on their system? And what do I do next. I don't want to go to court or have any charges on my name, I am now starting to panic.

Please can someone help me

Forget about what happened for the time being, concentrate on the process

Name the private parking company claimant involved

If its an LBC, email the LoC response template to the info@ address for DCB LEGAL

    Then await the Money Claim

You will be using the template defence in announcements when the time comes

Never refer to these speculative invoices issued by an unregulated entity as a "fine" - you will not find that word in any of their correspondence.

  • @Gr1pr it is for the airport pub mcr, sorry to be a pain but how do I find the LoC response template? Thanks in advance

The LoC response template is in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad, please study the 2nd post in it ( I am surprised that you have not read it yet. )
