Had a quick look on Amazon and they have a 982GB USB stick for just £24.

Since the reviews that mention capacity say it's 64GB I'm guessing it's really not 982GB…

Buy your USB sticks from Currys or Argos or John Lewis. Amazon Basics would be OK too.

There’s not really a cheap way to go about it other than the second hand market if that’s your thing. Personally, its not for me and I prefer to buy new where there’s no surprises.
You can buy smarter, if not cheaper. I’ve found Costco to be quite good for discounting especially when they have big discounts on some of the less popular configurations. I managed to get a M1 IPad Pro for under £600 new because it was the lower storage but for me that was fine and I got a much nicer tablet for the same money. If not, then you can get cheap finance with Apple and instalments with Amazon. YMMV on how much you want to pay a month.Look carefully at your requirements and see whether the MacBook Pro is really necessary as Apple silicon is seriously fast even in the MacBook Air. It’s easy to fall into the trap of paying out more than you really need which obviously doesn’t help the budget!
I’m using a 13 Inch 16GB MacBook Air as my main computer. I didn’t intend it to be but the combination of battery life, portability and being able to do everything I can throw at it including Lightroom and recording with Logic Pro makes it perfect for daily use.
You are coming from a MacBook Pro and will have experienced the premium end of MacBooks so you’ll want to try them out in person. While the Air speakers are better than most, they are nowhere near the quality of the Pro. Likewise with the screen and keyboard but you have to decide whether they are worth the difference between £1,300 and £2,200 purchase. Good luck!0 -
thank you will look into the MacBook Air looks nicer in blue

Have one of these myself. More than enough for what you need.

Did you actually buy this item from Infant World LTD (the seller on that listing)?
Fair few comments after that listing yelling "FAKE".
I'd generally buy items if they were sold by Amazon (which this one isn't) but I draw the line at memory products - just too many fakes out there.

I do have probable hard drives but that are USB-A slow speeds!
So thanks for your comments!
