Good morning
Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons
Yesterday was cold and wet, seems quite chilly this morning. Really need to get into the garden and do a few jobs.
Take care

Morning again, it's sunny here, but there's a frost, so it's a bit chilly.
Yesterday was an ok day, I went to the book club, and it turned out that no one had liked the book we'd read. It got an average score of 2.5 out of 10! Some people had finished it, thinking that if they start a book they must finish it, but quite a few of us had given up on it. The new book looks much better.
I've got a routine hospital appointment for osteoporosis treatment this afternoon, and we'll go to the quiz tonight.
That's the excitement for today.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. No frost here this morning but it stills feels nippy. Yesterday's forecasted showers didn't arrive until about 8 pm but today's showers are due mid afternoon. Where's it all coming from!
The perennials finally got potted up yesterday, plus a couple of other mundane jobs, before dropping into slothdom after lunch.. I really hope I get some GUAG when (if) the weather finally improves. I am fed up of waiting for better weather before I have my first stay at the caravan but I am thinking of having a week there next week whatever weather may hold! Plenty of books will be going with me.
Today is lunch day with DF (unless of course it gets cancelled!) I have her birthday present to give her in readiness for her birthday at the w/e so I hope we do meet up or it will mean a trip to her house.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Feels a bit chilly this morning but the sun is shining outside so it's probably warmer out there now!
Planted potatoes in a big tub quite a few weeks ago and yesterday saw that they're sprouting now. I thought they weren't going to come to anything but yes, we could have potatoes later this year.
Boiler service came eventually yesterday as he was running late. He was the same one who came last year and gave it a clean bill of health. Yipee
Going to the big shopping centre this morning to have a look for some summer holiday stuff.
Hope you all have a lovely day x

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x How does your Book Club choose the books?
We have the damaged garage door being replaced today so DH is moving the cars off the drive to give them room. We will be checking the new one carefully before they fit it!! We are gutting our en-suite this week as BIL will be starting the refit on Monday. It's a small room so will be interesting with both of us in there toiling away….
I need to pot on some Cosmos seedlings but need to buy some compost so will pop out for that today. Not sure whether I said but a garden centre was selling NT seed packets at 10 for £5 as they were shifting stock. I sowed some before we went away hoping for some germination and they are all up - tiny, but up! Ridiculously exciting and for very little cost. Enjoy your garden day @silver-oldie hope the weather stays fine for you x
Have a good day all

Bright and sunny here but still chilly, I have two people coming today and they have chosen bowling and a walk / picnic along the canal it’s a nice day for it.
I spoke to Matthews mum last night asking to put her down for a reference she said yes and asked what I was going on Wednesday, she offered me a days work so tomorrow we are off to the Isle of Wight to visit Matt and take him for lunch, she said he would love to see me and that I am a calming influence, it will be so nice to see him and see what he has done with his flat.
The turkey mince was actually fine, I did put a tin of tomato’s in and lots of purée and herbs but tbh you really couldn’t tell the difference so I will get it again.
Dinner tonight will be pizza and salad although I do need to pop in and pick up some salad I will do that this morning when I pick my people up.
Suffolksue good luck with the biopsy xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Good morning all - today is again very bright though still very cold. We had the odd out of the blue heavy rain showers yesterday which dumped gallons each time.
For lunch I fried up some left over belly pork with left over boiled potatoes, onion then added two whipped up eggs. It's a sort of variation of something my late beloved DM made frequently and so brought back so many memories. Great food and happy memories in one go!
Lawrence and his posse left Brisbane yesterday, they are en route to Perth then onto Dubai after that and, eventually, Birmingham and home. The two boys are especially upset to be leaving, they've had such a fabulous time, ending up at the Australia Zoo. Crikey!
This morning I'm off to meet with the acquaintance for coffee, she's the one I forgot about last week so I wrote the date in very large letters on my kitchen chalkboard to remind me. 😀 I've finally finished the tweaking of spreadsheets and moving monies around to fill a new ISA. What will I do now??
A bad book is a bad book @ScarletRibbons, gratifying to know you weren't alone.
Enjoy your lunch @TravellingAbuela.
Congratulations on the successful service @Chrisca50, it's been a long time coming.
I hope that your biopsy is pain-free @Suffolksue.
My fingers are crossed for you @Coxy11, and enjoy the cosiness!
Hugs to all, especially our poorlies and those who are sad.
PS - I've been racking my brains to remember who it is on the forum who has triplets - if that's you can you reveal yourself please before I drive myself even madder?

Morning All
Very bright and sunny this morning but cold and frosty, washing already on the line until the forecast rain arrives later.
I had a lovely time in London with friends of DS2's and their little 3 year old. It's so good that we have kept in touch and they are very good to me. I was absolutely exhausted when I got home yesterday so had a nice early night. We visited the Imperial War Museum on Sunday, sad to say I don't ever remember going before despite living in London until I was 20! I may go another time and visit some of the other Museums.
Must do some shopping for fresh veg today and I will probably go and plant the onions that I've started off in the greenhouse. I had a look at the other seedlings and some of them are beginning to come up. What a bargain you got Coxy with your seeds.
Enjoy your walk along the canal Ruby.
Hope the garage doors are ok this time Coxy.
Good luck if you have a biopsy Suffolksue.
So pleased to hear the family have had a good time Gers, hope they have a stress free journey home.
It's nice to know you're not along with the book Scarlet.
Right, must get myself moving. Take care. XX

Morning all
I managed a deep clean of the van yesterday including the mucky wheels and wheel arches where I got towed out of some mud last month! And mowed the lawn - I’m aching a bit now.
I agree about the book - apparently you’re supposed to give them 50 pages before you give up - I often don’t make it past the the first 5. I think I’m less patient with books, films, TV etc now and if I’m not hooked almost immediately I see it as a waste of time!
Hope everyone has a good day
