Sounds like a good deal, but one which is presumably on the outward journey if it's for holiday consumption, whereas I was referring to those choosing to spend time in the EU airport duty-free shops on the inward leg, potentially falling foul of the issue that this thread is about.

Every time I go through duty free I find myself thinking the same thought. If duty free relied on me, they would have gone bust long ago. 😂

Indeed - departing journey.
I might collar a bottle of same on TUI return flight, however avoiding the duty free mall on homeward journey is ofdefault position for us now after the nightmare at Malaga summer 2024.
