Morning all
Bright and sunny here but still chilly no frost though which I am glad about as I put my radish seedlings outside yesterday I also planted some more gherkin seeds.
I applied for some more jobs yesterday so will wait and see hopefully something will come up.
I am off to mums today to work but going later as she has a Dr’s appointment and then later on a hospital appointment for a blood test so I will be finishing later.
Dinner tonight will be spag bol, I have got some turkey mince to try it with as it’s a lot cheaper, I’m not really loving the idea but will give it a go.
Washing just finishing so will hang it out in a while it should dry well today.
Coxy well done to your niece, what was the award for ? Xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks @Gers.
After a chilly night and start today, the sun is out and there's just a gentle breeze. Of course, showers are forecast for later in the day so we're not out of the woods just yet! I'm itching for some warmer days so the winter clothes can be packed away for a while and the summer wardrobe can come out for an airing.
I had expected schools to be back today but it seems not so I suspect they're having an Inset day. Nothing exciting happening either, just the usual housework stuff and I have a wash load of towels to put out once the WM has finished. Yesterday I finished reading my book so now there's two to go back to the Little Free Library but still have some more cross stitch to do. While I was having a freezer rummage I found a pack of prawns that I'd forgotten about so that will be tonight's meal with salad. Tonight I'll watch the last episode of The Vanishings but have added another drama to the watchlist to replace it.
@Chrisca - I'm keeping my fingers crossed your boiler gets the thumbs up today.
@Coxy - Glad you had a lovely day yesterday, ready for what sounds like a busy week to come.
@TA - I hope you like your new hair colour! I gave up with all over colouring years ago in favour of highlights - no need nowadays, they're a natural silver grey! 😁
@Gers - During the colder months I often shower in the middle of the day when the bathroom is catching the sun but always wash my hair in the kitchen - I think it's a hangover from childhood!
@Ruby - The bol sauce I made yesterday was with cheaper pork mince and it tastes just fine so I expect your turkey mince one will be too.
Chin up if you're not feeling too well, struggling with life in general or just plain fed up. A wave too to our MIA. Take care, have the best day you can. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
@RedRuby1231 I've used pork mince for spag bol & lasagne for a few years now. Haven't yet tried chicken or turkey mince so will be interested to read your verdict.

I have used chicken mince to make home made kyiv. If you want to try something different.
Basically flatten rounds of chicken mince on a floured board, then pop lumps of garlic flavoured soft cheese in the centre, form the mince round it, then egg, breadcrumb and bake in the oven for about half an hour.
