Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's fine here, but cold no doubt.
I'm going to the Book Club at the library this morning, I haven't finished the book we were given last month - to say it's hard going is putting it mildly. I really tried with it, but gave up. I'll be interested to hear other people's views.
This afternoon I'll pop up the road to visit a friend who is housebound. Nothing else planned, but I'll fit in a few chores as well.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day, take care folks.

Morning all
Bright and a bit sunny out there and according to the weather forecast the wind is abating, at last, but for how long who knows!
After the repair of our gas leak last week they are coming back to service the boiler today. Hopefully with a clean bill of health.
Can't do much until he's been and gone so I've got to empty the airing cupboard for him, have some bedding to hang out on the line now I know it shouldn't be blown away and I'll make some hobnobs to keep myself amused.
Have a good day all x

Good morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Yesterday’s Wellness Day was good plus I won the raffle which included hair and beauty products plus fizz 😊 Another win last night as my niece won an Olivier Award and was on the TV!!! Super proud auntie moment!
Back to work for DH and I today. We need to clear one side of the garage later as the replacement door is coming tomorrow. We also need to gut the en suite this week as BIL is starting on the new fitout on Monday.
Dinner tonight is chilli and rice.
I gave up on a book at the weekend @ScarletRibbons after just a few pages. It wasn’t my thing at all and I have plenty of others. Life’s too short!Have a good day all

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A frosty start here too and feels rather nippy. It's currently blue sky and sunshine but light showers are promised later. Fortunately the wind has moved on here too - for now at least.
I am currently skulking away upstairs and keeping away from windows as I have a hair colour on. I hope I don't regret this but I have changed to a different colour this time. Watch this space!
I have a couple of perennials to pot up before the showers arrive. They have been sitting in the kitchen for far too long already.
Shopping got done yesterday so now well stocked up. I seem to have slipped back into the habit of buying too much for the freezer again. It's back to crammed full but so far I am resisting the urge to put the smaller freezer back on again. I have to keep reminding myself there is only me here but it doesn't work. Habits of a lifetime are difficult to change.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

I'm lingering in bed trying to gather the courage to have a shower. Last night I dodged it and now have to face it, bear in mind there's no central heating in my place and the electric shower will be a dribble. 😱 Only popped into to say 'congratulations' to @Coxy11's niece on the win. 🎉 I watched the whole programme last night and was enchanted. Any hints to your niece?
My family are enjoying their final day in Oz by visiting Australia Zoo again. They've had a brilliant time over Easter, it's been so fabulous for me to see them so happy but grateful that I'm not with them!Right… big girl pants being pulled up. 🚿🚿

Thanks! 😍
Well, I again ducked the shower. Once I got ready for it I decided that the minus temperature outside wasn't convincing me enough so did a big top and tail. Then I washed my hair in the kitchen. I will shower tonight before bed when the electric blanket has warmed the bed.
Yesterday was a strange day, bright sunshine with borderline storm-strength winds and bouts of torrential rain. I collected my meds and then went down to get a fresh out of the oven buttery. I made it my whole meal of the day by adding boiled egg to it so it gave myself the illusion of eating well. 😶
I hope that everyone has a good day, keep warm and well. xx

Morning all, thanks Gers.Brrr it's a chilly one. DH was up early as he has to take a car for MOT & he had to scrape the windscreen. I was awake at 5.30 :(
The reduced lamb was very tasty served with roasties and mashed carrot and swede. Not sure about tonight. Will have a look in the freezer soon.
Nothing much happening here apart from going for DGS this afternoon. Hope you all have a good day .

Bright and cold here too.
Just half a day of exam invigilating this week - seems to be quiet but I’m not concerned as I have plenty else to do. Might be car/van washing and lawn mowing later if it stays dry.Best wishes to all those that are poorly or struggling
