Can I appeal this ?

Just received a parking fine for parking on a retail shopping car park.

It's one where you have to put your reg in

Accidentally my wife put in her car reg. we have a receipt for that at exactly the same time they say the vehicle parked and also her car was in the nissan garage for a service that day so clearly couldn't have been there

Have we just made a boo boo and just accept the fine or should we appeal

Complain to the retail park - Plan A in the NEWBIE sticky. You should find the managing agents on a totem sign at the centre; also found this on their website. There is also a contact us form.

Where on that letter does it mention the word"fine", it isn't this is just a speculative invoice to make money out of people that just cave in at the first hurdle.

This was a major keying error, they should be offering a £20 settlement, which it is up to you if you accept, but the land owner lost no revenue as the fee was paid, the inputting of your VRN is in effect a courtesy to the operator making their job easy and less costly, all part of their greedy scam.

Everything is explained in the newbies thread and other stickies on here.

Oh I haven't got that one from Retail Park Ltd in the resource thread of NTKs! Please show the back so I can add it to the NTK images thread.

Thankyou. I'll add it to the resource thread. It's POFA worded but no-one would pay it.

Try Plan A first, per the NEWBIES thread.

Then try appeal and POPLA because this small fry firm may not have resources to contest.

Can you go and get pics of the signs in the same light / time of day?

And pics of a lack of signs at the entrance and in whole bay areas and corners, near the store front, at the parent & child bays, etc.

But do appeal telling them the VRM paid for because they'll give you a one-off chance to settle at £20.
