it's a bright clear and cold morning. Perhaps it'll improve. I've got an appointment with the pharmacist this morning so will be back later. X

Good morning, thanks Gers
Its raining here, don't know If it's set for the day.
Yesterday was an ok day, I started to go through my card making stuff and made a couple of cards. It's ages since I did anything and I would like to get back into it, I have a lot of stuff and it seems a waste not to use it.
I don't think I need to go out today, we're trying to eat out of the freezer which was packed, and it's not as bad now so I'm pleased. I'm mainly buying fresh foods like eggs, bread and veg when I do go out. Dil gave me an excellent cook book for Mothers Day, and I'm trying recipes, neither of us are fussy eaters, and it's nice to try new dishes.
Hope everyone is all right, take care folks.

Good morning, thanks for starting us Scarlet.
It's very dull and drizzling here, but should clear up later. Yesterday I decided to defrost the freezer. It had got to the stage (I'm ashamed to say) where I couldn't get one drawer open. All clean now, and among other things 5 portions of salmon found.
Today I'm going to slow cook a beef joint I got half price at Easter, so tonight will be beef and onion rolls for DH, jacket potato for me. No other plans for today atm.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's a miserable start to the day here and not forecast to improve. Light rain is promised for most of the day.
Shopping with DS is postponed until tomorrow. Instead I did think I might have a bus ride along to the big B & M at some point today but thanks to the mizzle I may just stay put. It's nothing I am stuck for so it will keep for another time if I can't make the effort.
There are always pottering jobs to keep me occupied instead but they won't be outdoor ones.
Have a good day folks with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all x

Morning all
Quite cloudy out there but apparently it's going to be a dry day which is good.
Bed changing day today.
Watched something on tv yesterday re bird feeders and avian disease going round so will take it down and give it a good clean as would hate the poor birdies catching anything nasty off of it.
Going to DS's today and staying over to dog sit as they're off out tonight and are staying over at DS's partner's mum who lives nearer to the venue they are going to so they can both have a drink.
Have a good day all x

Home! All short and sweet. The cold wind is brisk, last night we had the kind of blustery storm expected last week. Very noisy.
Not sure what else is on my agenda for today. No shopping needed and I’ve resisted the urge to buy coffee at the wee cafes. If the wind drops or gets milder I’d like to go for a walk. May have to content myself with a wee amble round my garden. 🤣I hope that all are well. Xx

Hi everyone,
I wrote a post on Thursday and then found I hadn't posted it so I must try to do better.
We're at the Yorkshire house, we spent yesterday seeing estate agents which was interesting. They all valued it higher than we expected. I think we're going with the agents who gave us the middle value. The one who gave us the lowest figure told us that Victorian houses weren't as popular as new builds which isn't what I'd have said, I think he was just expressing a personal preference.
We're probably going to visit my Aunt today. The biggest regret of selling the house is that it won't be as easy to see her, although we'll probably be visiting Steve's sister more and it's only a bit further from there.
Have a good day.

morning everyone it’s a miserable wet day here hubby is out playing golf I don’t know how long he will last he’s a fair weather player. I’m undecided weather to bake a couple of pies or not I’m going to crack on with a bit of housework and then decide. I got some good bargains at the charity shop yesterday this is me that isn’t going to spend any more money but perks of the job we do get first pick I got hubby 4 brand new M&S T-shirts with collars still with tags on myself a top two enamel jugs that will look pretty with flowers In and a brand new pair of M&S fur lined slippers still with tags on which have been put away as a Xmas present the lot for 10 pounds we had a big one day sale I love a bargain . Well I can’t sit here forever I will end up doing nothing thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Not such a nice day today, it’s overcast and cold and we are meant to get rain later, I have washing on the line so will keep an eye on it.
I had a message last night from another carer who I introduced to O’s mum she has also now left having been screamed at, she said she was terrified! I am going to ring her later for a chat and get more details, but O now has no one going into the house at all 🥲
I am going to empty the garden pond (sheep trough) today and clean it out I had put a new plant in last year and it’s completely taken over so I need to get it all out, the other plants are struggling.
I also need to continue the job search later on, I have been thinking of putting a card up in the village shop offering home help type of thing, we have a large elderly population in the village so it might be worth a go.
Salmon for dinner tonight, a friend made some wild garlic pesto and gave us some so I will do that with the salmon and some pasta I think.
We had to light the fire last night as it got really cold and may do tonight, we will need to get some logs in.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks @Gers for this morning's start.
Today's forecast here is for cloud all day, rain possible at any time with gentle breezes or light winds and feels like temperatures hovering around 8 deg. 😕
I have a grocery delivery coming in the next hour and have cleaned the inside of the fridge in readiness. I was surprised to get a slot for today at such short notice and even more surprised at the cost (just 50p!); apparently they're having a one day only flash sale on delivery prices for today so I've taken advantage of it. It's a bigger than normal order, the theory being I won't need much else for the rest of the month. Fresh milk and F&V might be the exceptions and I'll get those locally if need be. Apparently there are two subs, both acceptable.
The bedding I took off yesterday is in the WM and for tea tonight I'm making a curry using some of the Easter lamb, rice and poppadoms. Other than that, just a quiet day.
Have a good weekend all, take care.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10
