Sellers - is there much point in blocking someone?

I'm with you on better than nothing when it comes to the selling. I don't like to throw things out & so will try FBMP first. If it doesn't sell or my patience gets tested too much then I'll go to eBay before eventually binning.
And get your point about the private selling with 1 of an item.
I've been relatively lucky over the years with eBay. I've only really had 1 close call & 1 that I was concerned about that came to nothing in the end.
The close call was a guy who bought some car parts (switches) & when they arrived he said I'd only sent 1 switch when he'd bought 2. This was absolutely impossible as I wrapped them both together. I put 1 in bubble wrap, wrapped it a bit, put the other one in & continued to wrap.
My response: Just checking, you have unwrapped the bubble wrap fully I assume?
Never heard from him again. No feedback, nothing.
The concerned one was selling a pair of trainers. Think they went for £60 or so. As with all buyers I check out their history & this one buyer had a history of leaving negative feedback but not much positive. I was expecting some nonsense about item not as described but in the end there was nothing from him.
Everyone else so far has been decent.

I'm just a private seller, getting rid of my unwanted stuff. Generally clothes/shoes/bags/jewellery that I know I won't wear again.
I only sell on eBay.
I block buyers who win the auction but don't pay.
I block buyers who complain about the item being SNAD (I'm always very careful with my descriptions and typically list at least 10 photos).
It's better than doing nothing.
