Natwest reward card interest charge

Interested to know if anyone else are having the same issue as me with their Natwest credit card(reward card), we have used this card for many years with no issue, it is set up with a D/D monthly of full amount therefore no charges, but in the last two months we have been charged over £400 'interest' for no apparent reason, two phone calls and two emails later and i am none the wiser and have yet to receive any credit for the unauthorised 'interest', i was told it was a bank error and that it will be sorted 'centrally' - no guarantee of date or amount, i have now asked for re- compense. I feel stuck with no one listening or taking action

Have you used it to buy something that could be considered a cash purchase according to their T&Cs?

I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?
  • Thank you all- i have called Natwest several times and made a claim via their app, apparently it has been charged in error by Natwest and will be refunded (sometime!) No specific date and it is now in the hands of the 'account manager'

Same thing has happened to me. Just discovered it this month. NatWest changed direct debit procedure and it appears to have processed incorrectly resulting in missed minimum payment

Im astounded that outstanding amount was merely 10.27 which I paid when I realised direct debit hadn't been taken - 1 day late. I've been charged interest of 39.58

Shall be chasing this up later today

Have you had any further news @Triangletachwashi
