MARMALADE CAR INSURANCE
Hello, has anyone encountered this bunch and if you did was it a good or bad experience?
I paid £271 to get my car insured with them yesterday via a comparison site and following a minor technical issue they tried to up the premium by £149 because my additional driver had reported a no fault zero cost claim to her insurer some three years before and when I asked them to remove the driver from my policy they said it would cost anther £90 to do so.
Eventually I asked them to cancel my policy (which was by this time less than three hours old) and they said they would do it, but there would be a £40 "admin fee" for cancellation.
In all the years Ive been using comparison sites for car insurance I'd never seen or heard their name before and I'm still not convinced that they're nothing more than robdogs.
Am I just unucky or do they do this often?

Used them years ago when daughter was learning to drive, as they do learner insurance, which does not effect you as owner of your car while they are learning to drive.

So because you failed to declare this claim (it's not a minor technical issue as you seem to think it is) they are somehow at fault here?
