Is anyone else having trouble transferring money to Vanguard?

I am trying to transfer money to Vanguard with my Debit card (their preferred method, always worked okay previously). With Chrome it fails straightaway, with Edge it hangs forever. I tried asking my my bank and they saw nothing as I tried the transaction so it does seem the transaction is at Vanguard's end. The advice from the Vanguard chat service was to try using the Vanguard App, but he said "please either click the 'Invest now' button or 'Payments' > 'Add cash'." none of which exist on the App on my phone - which I re-downloaded to make sure I had the most up to date version.

I will try the the chat again tomorrow but just wondering if anyone has any smart ideas or similar experience?

I paid into my Vanguard SIPP online with a debit card using Chrome on Tuesday and it worked normally, just like previously.

Maybe you experienced a temporary glitch. 🤔

I transferred cash into two ISAs a few days ago using a debit card and didn't have any problems other than the usual clunky payment interface which frequently loses all the details you've put in before you've finished, meaning you have to do it about 5 times. I was using Chrome.

Both my wife and I tried with debit card the other day. 1 worked and 1 didn't.

We then tried using the bank transfer method which worked fine. As I recall their website said that bank transfer is now their preferred method.

I only want to pay in £20k to both mine and my wife's account

Vanguard site says: "Paying by debit card is the quickest way to pay into your account, but you can also pay by bank transfer too. We accept a minimum payment of £50,000."

I ended up doing it on Firefox which worked first time. Ho hum!
