What is the best way to sell a commercial van that has 'Died'?

I'm on a Facebook page for a specific make of van. People there often advertise vans as non-runners, with faults described and they get picked up for spares. I get the impression that a lot of van drivers / owners are more likely to do their own maintenance than car drivers.
I've never tried it with a van, but for a car an open auction on Ebay usually gets more money than selling it for scrap. State the issues, list it as a non-runner, starting at £1, and it will find its own value, generally well above the scrap price.
Other than that - scrap will likely be easiest.

Hi all
Thank you for your comments. I am really grateful. The garage have no room for the van. We collected it this morning and after 3 miles it conked out and started smoking. It is officially dead now. I guess, now that the scrapyard is my only choice.
Thanks all.
