Combi Boiler lots of vapour

I have recently had a Worcester Greenstar 25i Condensing Bombi boiler fitted. It runs my hot water and central heating. When it was fitted, a new extractor vent was also fitted to the outside, which is more like a tube, than a grille, which was on there before. What concerns me, is the huge amount of vapour/steam, or whatever, that is gushing out of the extractor, most of the time. it doesn't look very ecological, in fact one of my neighbours commented that it looks like I am heating up the whole street. Can someone tell me if this is normal? I didn't have it with my old system. Would value your comments, especially from heating/plumbing experts!

That is what condensing boilers do.
They extract most of the heat out of the exhaust and what you see is the cooler vapour.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Thanks for your reply. I don't really understand the workings of it, or why so much vapour gushes out. So long as it is normal, then that is fine.0

If it's under 2M from the ground then a guard must be fitted. If you're really worried then it is usually possible to fit plume diverter if you have a SEDBUK "A" rated boiler.0 -
do u know i just looked at it and it does appear to have some sort of guard on it, but it looks like its upside down?? its to the top of the pipe not the bottom, so it actually prevents it from going straight up and forces it out (towards my face)!!! Is it upside down??
this is ahousing acss house and had the new kitchen built last year, surley they woudlnt make such a classic mistake would they??0 -
lizzo all worcesters are factoy set & are very eco friendly your condensate discharge sounds perfectly normal , the flue terminal on most modern worcester models have a 45 degree plume divertor which can be adjusted by removing the end of the terminal & repositioning to the 45 degree setting .0

We have a Greenstar too and I was mortified when I saw how much vapour came out of the flue. We got it fitted on a particularly cold day and you couldn't see the garden for 'fog', lol. You'll get used to it....we don't even register it now.0

Thanks everyone for your replies, feel reassured now that it is normal0
