Avoid parking tickets on private land if working on site (contractor parking)

I thought I would add this as I didn't think of it myself and I could have avoided multiple parking tickets.

Private Land is a pain in the backside as an engineer attending properties for repairs.

I have received 3 private land tickets this year so far - they are like vultures nowadays.

The last appealed ticket from "PCM" gave me a phone number to request a temporary contactor parking permit.

Since then, I have been phoning the number on the sign post notices and requesting a contractor parking permit for the day or timed period and no tickets since.

Failing that, always as the resident for a concierge or estate office and find out about contractor parking. Again, this saved me last week.

Most residents are clueless so you have to do a bit of work yourself to find out.

Unfortunately, on weekends the offices are closed so you need to book a permit beforehand.

The newer estates have ANPR cameras which means you have to get the concierge to put your number plate in the system.

I hope that helps other contractors as I am a plonka and I didn't figure it out before.

I was given this number for PCM (Parking Control Management (UK) Ltd to request a permit:

    01753 512603 option 2 - request contractor code.

It says, if the site permits, you can get authorisation to park.

I sincerely hope you and your trader friends aren't actually paying private PCNs? They aren't fines and nobody here pays, not even if the thugs try a court claim.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

With your help and others in this forum, 2 years ago I stopped paying these private land tickets.

It's only getting worse, and I hate the stress of these situations, but I hate paying out my hard-earned money to these shifty companies.

I wish I had fought these tickets sooner, we need to cut off their money supply.

No trader, or worker should be paying the scum in the parking industry .

If you are working as an employee then ensure that any admin caused by these parking companies is done entirely at company time and cost, and not in your own time, if you are self employed invoice the company you are working for/add it to your bill , that is the admin cost, as no one should be paying anything towards a parking charge notice

    I'd be covering your numberplate.
