I have club Lloyds & Halifax standard current account!

I feel eventually All Halifax products credit cards Savings & current accounts Mortgages will move to Lloyds

don’t know when this will happen but will be lots of legal work etc

If that’s the case, I don’t know what would happen to Halifax customers in Northern Ireland given that there is no physical presence of Lloyds or Bank of Scotland here.

Well of course they haven't yet, give them chance. Nationwide has taken over Virgin, but it's still being run as a separate subsidiary. It will be several years before they can merge the systems, and Nationwide have been quite open in explaining this.

The whole of the Virgin Money business was legally transferred to Nationwide on the 2nd April 2026 - so yes, all Virgin Money accounts now sit under the Nationwide umbrella.

What will be a gradual process is that of integrating the Virgin Money business into Nationwide - which is especially complex as Virgin Money is a bit of a mish-mash of all sorts, it's legacy including the remnants of Northern Rock, as well as Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks and more.
