“Has anyone used an online ID1 form verification service in the UK?”

Hi everyone,

I’m currently dealing with an ID1 form for a property-related matter and honestly finding the whole verification process a bit confusing.

From what I understand, you usually have to go through a solicitor or similar professional, but getting appointments sorted is taking longer than expected.

I’ve recently come across a few online ID1 verification services, but I’m not sure how reliable or widely accepted they are.

Has anyone here used an online option before? Was it straightforward and accepted without any issues?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences or any recommendations.

When I divorced my wife, we had to transfer our property into her name only and to save money we did it all ourselves.

She used an ID1 verification service with no problems and the land registry accepted this and we successfully transferred the property. I was buying a house and my conveyancer identified me for free.

I used an online ID1 service recently and it worked fine – quick video call and everything sorted without needing to go in person.
