I'm pretty sure I only applied for this offer as I saw it was available to existing customers.

I switched from a classic plus to a spend and save believing this was eligible but alas no bonus granted (all other criterea fulfilled).

I have just been told by TSB this offer was for switching in from another bank - did I simply misinterpret the t&c's?

As I read it, the offer was only open to existing TSB customers, but you then had to use the switching service to switch another account from another bank in

Yes. Especially the bit about using the Current Account Switch Service, which can only be used to switch between different banks, which you didn't.

It's not explicitly mentioned in that summary you've provided (that you much switch another non-TSB bank account into a new or existing qualifying TSB bank account) but is mentioned in the detailed T&Cs more prescriptively.

Yes. But like buses there's always another one that comes along sooner or later. Going by patterns, I would expect their next one to be around this time next month. So you know what you need to do for it.

"Switching" in this context refers to using the Current Account Switch Service to transfer your account from another bank to TSB, which is explained in the very final paragraph or the summary you've posted, as well as the full T&Cs for this offer.

Thanks all - the thing is I used the form linked to the offer - clearly I was changing from TSB-TSB and if honest I still think the terms are unclear. However with the wealth of experience and knowledge above I will no longer pursue it - and as someone mentioned, will await a future offer and be ready with my understanding!
