Just follow the rules. Why are people even considering not being 100% upfront about residency and arrange their affairs accordingly?
When/if I move back to the UK I will inform all my banks, the tax authorities etc. of my new address. I will be opening a Wise account along with back up brokerages and bank accounts so that I have options.
