Exporting as much as possible
we only need hot showers at 7am and 9pm . I disconnected the sender unit from the meter and put the offset at 500w which is the max. I have decided to divert as much energy as possible to my 'spin back' old fashioned meter . I heat the showers from gas which is cheaper . Is there any more I can do to save money ? We have 8 panels .

I am not sure how effective these old meters are with solar. I would ask them to replace with a digital meter. That would allow a full range of tariffs also.

Have you informed your supplier that you have installed solar and require a replacement meter?
If not, you could be breaking the law. Section 13 of the Theft Act 1968 makes dishonestly using electricity punishable by up to five years in prison.
I note you were told this in both your previous threads on this topic, so you can't claim ignorance; see here and here .
