Best efficiency from Solar PVs and batteries.

We inherited a PV array, Solis Inverter and storage battery set up when we moved in. Got onto the Solis app a couple of weeks ago and trying to understand the readouts. Typical day below:

Any help with interpreting welcome. Esp as to why my batteries only charging up to 17/18% before discharging and what settings would work best.

I've got a Solis inverter but it's not a hybrid so there's not a lot I can say from personal experience.

I suspect there's something in the inverter settings that needs to be tweaked but I'm in no position to say exactly what.

Most of the forum's solar geeks hang out on the "Green and Ethical Moneysaving" forum and don't always visit Energy. You might like to ask the admins to move your thread over there?

The encouraging thing is the self-consumption to export ratio. Without a battery I only manage about 25% self-consumption, which was fine when the export price was 15p. Now it has been cut, then self-consumption may become more important.

I suggest leaving things alone until you can see what happens over a good month. May will soon be here and is pretty reliable for solar. Trying to judge what to do in the "winter" months is difficult because things can be so variable.
