That's not staggered, it's just the way the line is drawn without antialiasing turned on.

If the fence panels match and look as though erected at the same time then I would think it was yours unless you have neighbours who say otherwise.

Unless he's coming onto your property every other week to paint, are you not grateful for him maintaining your property for you (for free)?

It sounds like you might be focussing on the wrong thing.

Wouldn't it make more sense to say to your neighbour something like…

"You must notify us in advance if you intend to come into our garden to paint the fence, and you must stop getting fence paint on our walls, window frames and on the ground. Otherwise we'll have to get a contractor to remove the fence paint from the walls and window frames, and we'll have to persue you for the cost."

(Maybe suggest that they tape plastic sheeting over your walls and windows with masking tape, before they start. And put down plastic sheeting on the ground, to catch drips and spills.)

I guess saying that might cause some bad feeling - but telling the neighbour it's not their fence would probably cause bad feeling anyway. Plus you'd have the headache of maintaining and repairing the fence in future.

Basically you've zoomed in so far that the jaggy bits are just pixels, not something which has actually been mapped. Your fences and the legal boundaries are just straight lines.

(also, it assists everyone if you use a more specific subject line. Most posts here are looking for "help" of some sort.)

Antialiasing is a method of smoothing out graphical lines so that you don't get the jagged look that is in your image.

The red line may well denote the area that you own but it doesn't necessarily mean you own the boundary or the fence. Normally the deeds would show a "T" symbol denoting who is responsible for that boundary.

having said that, I would follow the advice given by eddddy, but you should also state that you can not be held responsible for any injuries to him if he enters your property without your consent… he doesn't have a right of entry.

You can get a copy of your deeds from the land registry web-site, you will have to create a free account though. It costs £7 each for a copy of the title deed and title plan.
