Is there a risk with eToro cash ISA?

Hi All,

Is there a risk that I could lose my money with eToro cash ISA or will it be protected up to £85k regardless?

From my understanding eToro invest the cash ISA money from their subscribers so if what they invest in goes down for whatever reason, I could lose it all or will my cash be protected up to £85k regardless of what eToro invest in?

The £85k FSCS limit applies to investments, so if that's the limit being quoted to you then it suggests there is risk. The FSCS limit for deposited cash is £120k.

    The website states:

QMMF are very low risk, but not risk free. In extreme circumstances you could get back less than you paid in.

Also note, that eToro isn't a UK ISA manager, MoneyFarm is the actual provider.
