Morning all.
Storm Dave seemed to chuck a bit of everything at us yesterday - sun, wind, rain, hailstones and even a few snowflakes. The only things missing were thunder and lightening and I wouldn't have been surprised to see them put in an appearance! 😮 The clouds at sunset were a deep pink, followed by a chilly night. What a difference this morning with the day set to be dry and sunny with above average temperatures - long may it continue.
Not a lot got done yesterday and I suspect today will be much in the same vein but I do need to use some of the Easter lamb to make a moussaka for dinner tonight and the rest can go in the freezer. The laundry basket is looking pretty full, maybe I can make up a full load to hang out for drying - if not today, then tomorrow. Then it will be back to my current cross stitch; I'd like to have it finished by the end of the week so I can move onto the much neglected sewing pile that's still awaiting my attention. 😁
I hope everyone is having an enjoyable Bank Holiday be it away on a break, seeing family or just staying at home. Take care all, hugs where needed. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Good afternoon
Lovely sunshine, window open to make the most of the fresh air.
Not a lot going on here, DH is outside sanding down a couple of cupboard doors he will then varnish. I've already done the vacuuming, and some washing. I'm thinking of some of the leftover lamb tonight, with mash and pickles, then what's left can go into the freezer for future meals.
SO, hope you're not too sore today.
Dp1, hope your mum soon settles, such an upheaval for them.
Have a good day all, take care.

Hello everyone
I had little one and little foster baby to stay last night, I didn't here a peep out of either of them for about 12 hours, though little one was in my bed with me when I woke up. DD picked them up quite early and then I was down at mam and dads house for a couple of hours, my brother took all the pictures down each of them wanted in their rooms and put them up. I've sorted a lot of photos into a box for mam so she can sit and look through them and her pink box of bits - receipts from her wedding flowers, etc. I'm just finishing my lunch and then I'll go down.
When I come back home my friend over the road is going to come over for a cuppa and a chat, she came home from her holidays last night.
Right must get moving, hope everyone has a good day x
