Transferring from GIA to ISA and CGT
Hi,
I am preparing to move some money from my GIA to my ISA to make use of my £3,000 CGT allowance.
I know that I can take any income for the sold units off the sale price as income tax has already been paid on this (previous years).
My problem is that these are Acc units (VLS 40). Obviously there has been income reinvested through 2025/2026. I don't however have a tax certificate as yet and wont have this for a while. How do I find the notional income paid through the year to allow me deduct this from that sale price to calculate my capital gain accurately.

Trustnet and Fidelity often have dividend data:

Thanks. I saw the Fidelity one but they looked strange (a factor of 100 below the past couple of years)for April 2026 - see below.
The TrustNet site just has 2025
Maybe I just need to be patieng as the ExDiv date was a few days ago and it is Easter?

Maybe a running theme with Fidelity, see:
You can sense-check it (as I did in the following post on that thread) by comparing the 1 day return for Inc vs Acc units on the XD date. It is probably the result of the data feed switching from GBX to GBP.

Apologies for another question that I should already know the answer to.
When completing the dividend part of self assessment (for example for this VLS 40) - what date do I use to ascertain which tax year the dividend falls into.
In the case of VLS 40, the ex. div. date I believe is 1st April 2026, but the payment date is late May. These two dates straddle the tax year boundary and wanted to be 100% sure I use the correct tax year. I am pretty sure I should use the payment date but just want to be sure.
Thank you.

Yes, you use the fund's declared payment date, so for this year probably 29/05/26. When relevant for non-acc funds, this might be different to the date it's credited to your account.
