Good morning
Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons
Nothing much happening here. I had a fall a few days ago and I'm still very bruised, nothing broken thankfully.
Happy Easter
Take care

Morning all
I got back yesterday which I think was good timing given the amber warning in Dumfries and Galloway!
Sun, rain, sleet, snow, hail, fog, wind - all of the above over the last couple of weeks, par for the course for spring travel. That said, a part of each day was good enough to get out for a walk. Such a great area and very very quiet.
Bdog enjoyed himself too (gratuitous photo incoming! )Lots of house jobs , craft work, garden chores and van cleaning to catch up on now.
take care all - I have read along.

Morning folks and Happy Easter one and all. Thanks SCARLET for starting us off and ((HUGS)) for SO after the tumble. Take it easy for a few days and look after yourself.
Well what an evening/night that was with the wind battering endlessly. When we got into the car park for our meal last night we were blown all ways getting from the car park to the venue. It's bleak on the moors at the best of times but last night was something else! Nevertheless we had a lovely meal, a nice bottle of wine and even made room for a pud. So a lovely evening was had.
I haven't been outside yet this morning to assess any damage but I can see the pots and solar lights I put upright last week have all blown over again. They can stay that way until the better weather we are promised arrives.
I defrosted a small chicken breast joint for my lunch but veg yet to be decided. I got some of the bargain parsnips yesterday from Sainsbobs so they will be roasted in honey. I'll do enough of everything just to warm up tomorrow.
Have a lovely day folks and I hope there isn't too much damage for anybody. Take care all, be safe x
ps what a lovely photo Allie.

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. And more hugs to @silver-oldie, hope that the bruises soon heal. Your weather sounds dreadful @TravellingAbuela, at least the meal was good.
My only purchase yesterday was a fresh bottle of Olbas Oil and some petrol. I went to the Vintage Fair two villages up where I had a good natter with people I knew, had a piece of coffee and walnut cake (my favourite) and swerved the tables of mostly old tat. 😅 There was one stall selling lovely properly vintage clothes.
The storm was a damp squib here. Lots and lots of rain though the forecasted awful winds must have been pushed around us, thankfully. Mind you we've had so many wind events lately it's about time we were spared. Today looks so lovely and calm, cold still but certainly a nice day. 🤞
I hope that the weather wasn't too bad for everyone. Happy Easter Sunday to all.

Morning again, it's a fine start here, after yesterday's blustery winds.
We might go for a walk today. DH soon tires - he is still having cancer treatment and the tiredness is a side effect but we don't have to walk miles.
Dgd is staying for the weekend, but I don't know what plans she has for today, she's still asleep.
It's s supposed to get a bit warmer this week, or so I read - I hope it is, you get fed up with winter coats.
Hope everyone has good days, take care folks.

Sorry to see you've had a fall SO, shakes you up doesn't it, take it easy and don't try to do much.

Good morning
Thanks for starting us Scarlet. SO, hope you feel less sore soon, take it easy.
Well, I hope everyone is in one piece after the storm. The wind started here around tea time, and boy was it noisy. Haven't been outside yet to check for any damage. Big dog hated it, so I've been up on and off during the night with him. All calm and silent now, wind and BD.
I slow roasted the lamb joint yesterday so will carve it today and freeze some. There is still one portion left from Christmas in the freezer. So it will be a roast for us today. I bought a couple of beef joints on offer which I'm going to portion up and freeze ready for casseroles and pies.
That's my excitement for the day, so will wish everyone a peaceful day, take care.
PS. Lovely photo AA x

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
Easter greetings to you all. We have Easter eggs here in our caravan in Fort William to enjoy later.
We walked a 15 mile stretch of the West Highland Way yesterday from Kinlochleven to Fort William. Managed to avoid most of Storm Dave until the last 3 miles when it drenched us to the bone despite many layers and good waterproof shoes and clothing. En route back to the caravan we picked up a young lad hitch-hiking to a bothy 10 miles away. He was so grateful - one good deed and all that!Glad you had a good time away @AlwaysAllie and beautiful photo.
Take care @silver-oldie sending you hugs xHave a good day all

Morning All
Happy Easter.
Storm Dave was just a strong wind and lots of rain, nothing too bad thankfully although it did wake me up in the night. Still looking gloomy outside with snow forecast for today.
Lovely photo Allie, glad you had a good time.
Sorry you fell SO, look after yourself.
Enjoy your walk Scarlet.
Hope you've dried out Coxy, well done on giving the young man a lift.
Glad you enjoyed your meal TA.
It was so wet and miserable yesterday I couldn't face going out and planting seeds so started to paint the laundry, it's looking awful after the damp works yesterday. Two of the big doors have had a coat of stain blocker (they are oak) so I can start to put the white paint on this morning. I will have to go out to the shed for the ladder to do around the high cupboards - what could go wrong!
The hole in the wall is partly filled, will do some more today, doesn't look too bad at the moment but will need a lot of sanding.
Hugs to anyone in need, enjoy Easter Sunday. Take care. XX
