Simplifying into one global equity fund
Over the years, especially with the freedom to invest in more than one ISA provider in a given year, I was often in this experimental mode of using different providers and go for funds that were global equities in general but with some variations on which ones depending on whats available or cost effective on a given platform.
Eventually I decided to consolidate by taking advantage of the cashback offer on Freetrade. The multiple transfers were all in specie and quite seamless so no complains at all.
My issue is more of the mozaic of funds that eventually made it into one place which made me consider doing some "spring cleaning" for the new financial year. Among the funds I own, I am quite fond on keeping one of the following three:
VWRP ETF
SPDR ACWI ETF
HSBC FTSE all world OEIC
Based on what I can find on them, I came to the conclusion that all three of them are practically similar enough that it doesnt matter which one I pick. Sure there are subtle differences on the fees, ETF spreads or the index they follow but I mean the overlap is strong enough not to matter. Am I correct to believe that or is there something I might be overlooking which could be an issue in the long run?

VWRP and the HSBC OEIC both track the same index (FTSE All-World), while SPDR ACWI track MSCI's equivalent index. All three can be treated as equivalent in terms of exposure and diversification. So it makes sense to go with the cheapest to hold across the platforms you use, which will probably be ACWI.

One other thing will be that both ETF's will give "current pricing" when you want to trade. The OIEC will likely be gathered into a single trade at some particular time of day by the platform, so you won't know exactly what price you buy at until the trade has gone through.
That doesn't matter to everyone, but it is a difference.
