S&s platforms
Wondering whether to use a cheap one
Such as investengine or freetrade
Or an established one such as fidelity or vanguard
Any advice
And can I move from one to another at will if I don't like a platform for any reason?
For example I tried chase but found the android app really slow so closed it all down

This may be useful:
Nothing to stop you trying more than one before settling. As long as you don't exceed your ISA allowance you can contribute to more than one at the same time.

Yes, use a cheap one, many of us do.
Trading 212 is available on web as well as app, in case that's an issue.
And yes, you can move providers if you're not happy.

You have listed some very different platforms.
You need to decide first what and how you want to invest and then select a platform.

@olb81 well you haven't mentioned how much you will invest, how often, nor what in or the total value of your investments; those are key determinates of which platform or broker fits someone's investment profile best.
Monevator has a broker comparison table: monevator.com/compare-uk-cheapest-online-brokers/
And UKPF Wiki has decent starter guides for beginning investors: https://ukpersonal.finance/investing-101/

Freetrade's now owned by IG and IG's an established, profitable broker. It also has its own fee and commission free IG Invest.
In my experience Freetrade's been good and continues to improve: it now offers c.500 OEICs and a few conventional gilts.

I watched damians video
He starts with lightyear
They aren't mentioned on mse s&s page?

MSE doesn't claim to be offering a comprehensive list of platforms, and there isn't a simple single comparator (in the way that savings accounts can be compared on AER for example) so they don't profess to identify the best/cheapest as such ("What we've done is pull out a mix of both cheaper and well-known platforms for both DIY S&S ISAs and managed S&S ISAs to help you research which suits you best").

Would you recommend light year

Based on what criteria !? There's no one size fits all for brokerages and fund platforms. What's appropriate for one person may be a non-starter for another.
You'll notice that Lightyear's comparison table doesn't mention either Freetrade, Prosper or Investengine…
The DTM video has affiliate links for seven different brokerages.0
