Morning Scarlet, morning all.
After yesterday's bright and sunny day it's back to the usual gloom - typical for a Bank Holiday! We're in for a cloudy day with a good chance of rain this afternoon, temperatures feeling a couple or so degrees below actual and a gentle breeze/light wind. The weekend doesn't look much better either although the beginning of next week is more promising.
When I was doing my outdoor errands yesterday I noticed the indestructible dandelions are back - lots of them! I'm sure they'll pop up in the cracks of my recently tidied patio slabs before long so this weekend I'll be digging out the electric weed zapper I got last year.
DS has another interview this afternoon (yes, I know it's officially a Bank Holiday but hey ho); the one yesterday went well, making two he's waiting to hear from and two more lined up for next week. At least he's being invited for interviews so that's a positive.
Usual Friday admin to do today including a peruse of the latest energy statement that arrived this morning and looks to be roughly what I was expecting. My fixed plan finishes at the end of June so it will soon be time to look for a replacement. Fish for tea tonight with sliced/fried leftover potatoes. I'm not bothering with the cheap veg this holiday as I have plenty already and don't feel up to to braving the SM either. Besides, I'm hoping for salad weather soon!
Have an enjoyable Easter break, be it a trip away or a stay at home one. Take care, healing thoughts for the poorly ones, hugs wherever needed. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -

Hi everyone,
It's another very quiet day here, Steve has gone to work on the stables again. I'm happy in my own company but I do miss having the children here very much, not that they would have been here because they are on their way to Glasgow as I type, I hope their journey isn't too bad with the horrible weather.
We had a lovely day with Nate yesterday, lots of outdoor time which always makes for an easy time. Today I've done some sewing and watered the plants and that's about it. Tomorrow we'll clean the house, I'll do the kitchen and dusting and Steve will do the bathrooms and floors, we split the washing and bedmaking between us. I do most of the cooking because I enjoy it but he always tidies up and fills the dishwasher. Chris is the same, but I get cross because Brian isn't on the same page, his mother didn't train him properly.
YL, I'll keep my fingers crossed for your DS
Chrisca, commiserations on the boiler problems, I'm glad you can shower nearby.
Remmie, sorry about the cancelled appointment.
