wait it’s £300 plus treatment charges I can’t afford that
can anyone help me find a way to make her vomit0 -
I thought there was something on the news about vet’s overcharging

I have no suggestions on making her vomit, I've never managed that with my dog that steals and eats all sorts, but two things I have used is - online you can usually find calculators that will tell you how much of a certain food is harmful to your dog based on it's weight, and I have used an online chat vet service to talk it through and see if they thought I should go to the vet. The vet service I used was free, as I subscribe to Yumove and it was through them.

as it’s midnight and the emergency vet is charging £300 for a callout plus £200 just to make the dog sick0 -
Is your dog actually showing any effect from eating the grapes?

That's a standard out of hours charge.
By the time a dog shows signs of grape or raisin toxicity it's likely their kidneys are already damaged. Not every dog who eats them is affected but it can be fatal and there is no known safe amount as some dogs are exquisitely sensitive.
My guys very rarely visit the vet but they would immediately if they ate grapes or raisins

there is - but bear in mind that taking a pet to a vet is akin to receiving private medical care for a human.
The public really needs to be educated on how expensive medical care and treatment actually is.
As it’s generally free I think people get complacent and forget

Anyone reading this needs to know that grapes have an idiosyncratic effect on dogs.
It isn’t based on weight or the amount eaten some dogs can eat a lot of grapes with no harm others can have one grape and go into to kidney failure.
If in doubt, get your dog to a vet.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
has there been any documented evidence of a dog dying after eating one grape?

Google seems to suggest yes, and without delving deeper the situation is definitely as elsien suggests:
Although again, Google seems to suggest that waiting to see if the dog reacts is not a great idea, because once a reaction starts it's probably too late, whereas early treatment may prevent a serious reaction.
