Moving accounts
I have 2 energy accounts, for my parents, gas with BG and elec with Scottish power.
As my dad has dementia and never told my mum the account details, we want to move the accounts over to her name. Is it simply a case of changing the name to my mother, or is there a load of rigmarole in doing that( proving my dads mental aptitude etc), or would it be simpler to just move energy provider completely (as they are on standard tariffs for both anyway)

They're with two of the worst companies so move ASAP, preferably getting a welcome bonus as well.

Ask if you can have the account in joint names, both your mum and dad. Simpler way to do it maybe?
