First Alternative
On reviewing my policy I noticed, this. Seems a bit sneaky T&C. Cheapest is seldom the best?
Years ago I was hit by and driver gave me false name and address. Fortunately I was with Aviva, per their T&C I was not charged excess and my NCD was not affected

I know it's just weasley words but that clause says you have to get name, address and reg no, doesn't say they have to be correct.
As long as you were given them as true that should be OK.
Bit tricky if it's a clip from your local joyriders who you never see let alone talk to.

I doubt First Alternative would accept a false name and address.
Like many(?) I seldom read the small print, but I do now.
