Claim Form received - Smart Parking Limited

Hi, received a claim form today for the amount of:

Amount claimed: £191.88

Court fee: £35

Legal costs: £50

Total: £276.88

Claimant states date of contravention was 29/08/2024, and that I breached the terms on the signs. Reason: Insufficient Paid Time.

The car park in question allows 45 minutes free parking. Claimant states I stayed 54 minutes.

I intent to fully defend this claim, any guidance on what next steps to take would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Follow the steps in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum, but adapt the bespoke Smart Parking defence as seen in the Smart Parking group thread

Post the Issue date from the top right of the claim form below

Ensure that you redact the name, address, claim reference number, VRMM details and password if posting a redacted picture

Go find that Group thread but then change para 1 and para 10 to use the newer wording in the Template Defence sticky thread.
