I am hopefully going to have a full state pension, then I have about 2.5k a year and should have about another 3.5k on top of that. So about 17k which is what the pension website say people on my salary is what they say they need.

Like many retiree's you don't have any mortgage/rent costs. How does the £17k match up with your current income and spending?

I'm in a bad mood this week. Work is really busy and I don't have any idea of when I'll next get to London. At least the nice weather is coming. 3 days to the weekend.

I need to get to the post office to post some wool and then will probably watch some Netflix. I wish I could knit but a) it's summer and b) I don't have the headspace for it. Everyone keeps saying it's lovely weather but I prefer the seasons changing a bit more gradually. We had a visitor at work today and he said it was a lovely spring day. I said "yes it's exactly how a spring day should be" to make conversation. Anyway spring is not my favourite season. I prefer autumn and winter.

The decluttering has kind of stayed decluttered.

Mr Unsuitable messaged me and I replied and he hasn't messaged me back. That could be what has put me in a bad mood.

My new phone has detailed weather on. It says the pressure is "plummeting" and the air is very dry. It also says it's good weather for running.

I got my phone set up properly in the shop today. The guy told me a bit about operating systems. He said Android runs on Linux.

I am pretty tired today. Have to go to the doctors tomorrow. I might take the day off work as I don't want to run myself into the ground. We shall see.

I just went to the gym. I just did a light session but it helped me feel better. I feel pretty wiped but it's good to listen to your body.

The birds outside are really singing a lot this evening. My flat is opposite a proper (small) woodland but there are enough trees around our flats and in between us and the tiny housing estate to support a real colony of birds. Sometimes I look out of the window when I'm washing up and I could see five or six magpies.

    Two days to the weekend.
