Inheriting my late husband's state pension.
Hello, I am confused!
The DWP say I can only inherit £6.10 per month of my late husband's state pension.
I am getting nowhere in finding out why this is, or how this amount has been calculated.
I have submitted the Mandatory Recalculation. The reply from DWP remains the same.
When I call , I am just passed for one person to another.
How can I find out what I can inherit?
Thank you

Sorry for your loss.
When did you husband reach State Pension Age ? And when did he die ?
If it was after April 5th 2016, then the only part of a spouses State Pension you can inherit is any 'additional (protected) payment he was receiving over and above the fill new State Pension.
Details are here

Are you also receiving you own state pension?
