Argos Card balance transfer

Hi all,

Has anyone had any success in doing a balance transfer with an Argos card ?

According to Martin Lewis is it possible despite some comments below this video saying this information is incorrect.

Has anyone done this before? Is a balance transfer possible? What bank did you use?

I tested this out with one bank Ie Asda, it asks for the long card number for the which you want to transfer the balance from however as the argoscard isnt a mastercard or visa it didnt accept it.

I know the argos card is now moving to something called Argos pay through Newday not sure how this would affect things.

Any personal experiences of this?

I don't think it's possible tbh - the Argos card ia not a credit card in the normal sense. Your best bet would be to phone your credit card company to see if they can do it manually but I wouldn't hold out much hope.

Your alternative would be looking at a money tranasfer card.

IF Argos card accepted CC payments you could try using a CC with 0% on purchases, but repotedly it doesn't.
