Switching current accounts - can I switch one and keep the other with the same bank?
I am with First Direct and have been happily. However, as a result of a divorce I now need to be more savvy financially, so I'm looking to optimise on the switching bank accounts. I have 2 sole accounts with First Direct, can I 'switch' one and keep the other and still get the rewards?

Yes, the current account switching service only switches one account.

Yes, you can. I had two sole current accounts with my main bank (one used to be a joint account) until a couple of weeks ago. I was only actively using one of them, the other had had a nominal balance and no other activity on it for some time. I successfully switched the hardly-used one to NatWest - turned out to be a good move as as well as the switch bonus, the NatWest app has functionality that I hadn't seen before from my main bank, so it has proved a useful eye-opener.
