I have a CCJ - Dont Recall getting a Claim Form
Hi all
I didn't realise I've been taken to court and now have ccj on my credit score, a letter arrived 29/3/26 suggesting pay and it will be taken off as paid in a month. The CCJ was entered on the 23/02/2026, I received a letter dated '18/03/2026' and this came 29/03/2026.
Therefore I have missed the Month, as it was done in February so even if I pay it will stick on my credit 😡This was a parking fine from 2022, where I had 3 others the same time. These previous fines I followed the forum, appealed and went through court and won.
I dont recall receiving a Small Courts Claim letter this time round, they have bombarded me with so many of the traditional threat letters, which I tried contacting them to call them bogus and appeal them, but heard nothing back, so I was expecting the Small Claims letter, but got the CCJ notice instead.
I have also received another 2 from dcbl regarding parking at work and it at the final notice wanting 280 from me, for these ones do i have to wait for a small claims letter.
I understand this may be confusing, as this is overbearing, so I will try to summarise:
1 Claim for 3 parking charges, taken to court and won, parking charges from 2022. DCB Legal
1 CCJ from parking charges regarding a different claim number (i assume around the same time as 2022) DCB Legal
1 Claim ZZPS 2025 overstaying 3 hour parking by 15 mins, two days before Christmas.
My main worry is this CCJ because I wanted to fight it, and i havent been able to, i read about doing a set back but its £300*

Phone the CNBC in Northampton tomorrow morning at 08.30, with the CCJ reference number and find out the basics, the claimant and their lawyers, the name and address on the claim form ( to check where it was sent to ) etc, plus the issue date from the top right of the claim form
You will be hoping that it went to an incorrect address
Ignore zzps , wait for the court claim letter from the CNBC in Northampton

Sounds like it was sent to an old address? Ring the CNBC at 8.30am to avoid the massive queue.

Do you have access to the vehicles V5 ?
Check the address on that is correct - have you moved house “recently” and not updated the registered keeper form ? (Very common)
If yes to the above - it might also be worth checking your licence online as well, as any speeding tickets etc will also have gone to the incorrect address

Haven't moved address, but have not been staying at home much due to assisting my mum. ill health

Show us the POC you got emailed over when you rang the CNBC, and what they said about the address used.
You are required by the courts to act promptly to set aside a CCJ.

I don't think have had a small claims form for the claim where I now have a CCJ
I tried calling yesterday multiple times from 8:30, while i was at work and it kept ringing for 30+ minutes and cut off twice.
I am filling out the N244 form now. is there certain things I need to say and not say.
i am assuming the courts are closed over the bank holiday weekend and will re open on tuesday?
i am trying to be as prompt as i can

Yes and yes. Read some CCJ set aside threads such as by @Lia_F and @Brightonrock123
But you do need the POC emailed to you first and to find out which address was used.

I will check these posts to find out.
ive had other letters posted to this address regarding the claim. One of them mentioning to set aside a CCJ that I stupidly ignored and one mentioning to remove the CCJ that was sent on the 18th March 2026. So i cant see them using a different address.

We can. They trace different addresses.
