The title of this section should be "UK holidays, days out & entertainment" without the final "s".

Don't agree.
It's rather Victorian in its usage but it's correct. a typical definition is
Entertainments are activities, performances, or shows designed to hold attention, provide pleasure, and engage audiences.
Although 'entertainment' in its uncountable noun form is now more common, its use as the title for this forum where people suggest or seek details on different 'activities' is the more correct.
